The steering column intermediate shaft may have been secured to the steering gear pinion shaft with an incorrect bolt, which can result in the separation of steering components and cause a loss of steering control._x000D_ A loss of steering control can increase the risk of a crash.

RemedyDealers will replace the steering column intermediate shaft bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 9, 2024. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 24S48.
