DefectEndera Motors (Endera) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Titan school buses. The rear emergency exit door has a gas shock that is underrated for the weight of the door, which can result in the door closing unexpectedly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."_x000D_ An emergency exit door closing unexpectedly can increase the risk of injury.

RemedyDealers will replace the gas strut with a standard locking mechanism, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 6, 2024. Owners may contact Endera customer service at 419-523-3593.
