DefectAdvanced Technology Products, Inc (ATP) is recalling certain OEC/Technidot black 1/4" DOT air brake tubing with part numbers DOTA04ABK, DOTA04CBK, and DOTA04DBK. Sunlight exposure may cause the air brake tubing to crack and burst under pressure. As such, this equipment fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 106, "Brake Hoses."_x000D_ An air brake tube that bursts can result in a loss of braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash.
ComponentSERVICE BRAKES, AIR
RemedyATP will replace the air brake tubing, free of charge. Customer notification letters are expected to be mailed December 13, 2024. Customers may contact ATP customer service at 1-937-349-4055.
