DefectFord Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025 Maverick vehicles. The air bag indicator light on the dashboard may be loose or dislodged, and not visible to occupants. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."_x000D_ The air bag indicator light may fail to warn occupants of a deactivated air bag, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

RemedyDealers will install air bag indicator light retaining clips, free of charge. Owner notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed June 9, 2025. Second letters will be sent once the remedy is available. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25C17.
