The engine block heater may crack and develop a coolant leak, causing it to short circuit when the block heater is plugged in._x000D_ An electrical short circuit can increase the risk of a fire.

RemedyOwners are advised not to plug in their block heater until their vehicle is remedied. Dealers will contact customers with instructions to return the part for a full refund or dealers will replace the block heater once a newly designed part is available, free of charge.
