Hazard descriptionThe chin strap on affected helmets may not be routed correctly causing the retention buckle to separate and the helmet to come off. Risk of serious injury or death from head injuries if the helmet comes off during a collision.
Remedy1. Stop using affected helmets immediately. 2. Inspect the chin strap to check if it is routed correctly. 3. Route your chin strap correctly following the updated owner’s manual addendum, which is accessible here (link is external) and watch the instructional video (link is external) . 4.
