Hazard descriptionWhen force is applied to the window sash of some 100 Series casement windows with the window opening control device applied, the device may not perform as intended and can cause the window opening control device to stop functioning, allowing the window to open without control, posing a fall hazard to consumers.
RemedyImmediately close and lock windows utilizing the recalled window opening control device and contact Andersen Windows to confirm if your product is recalled, and to arrange for a local Andersen Windows dealer and an authorized service provider to perform an onsite repair as required. Uninstalled window opening control devices should be returned to the point of purchase.
