Hazard descriptionThe migration of lead from the toy is too high (measured value: 0.35 % by weight). Lead is harmful to children as it can lead to developmental neurotoxicity. It accumulates in the body and may also affect their future progeny when breast-fed or unborn. Moreover, the plastic material of the plastic balls has an excessive concentration of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)(measured values: 7.6 % by weight). DEHP may harm the health by causing possible damage to the reproductive system.
