Hazard descriptionSTIHL has identified that a limited batch of 5L MotoMix cans have been potentially leaking due to a manufacturing defect affecting the can (the MotoMix product itself is not affected). It is typically detected by the oily residue on the can or on surfaces on which the can was sitting, or a solvent aroma. There is a risk of injury including skin or eye irritation, drowsiness or dizziness or risk of harm if the fuel is handled or swallowed. The defect may also pose a fire hazard if the fuel leaks near an ignition source.
RemedyCheck cans for dates sold and stockists in the identifiers section and if leakage is detected, or you are concerned that your tin may be leaking, please follow these steps: • Handle carefully. MotoMix is a flammable substance and should be kept away from ignition sources, sparks, open flames, and excessive heat. Avoid breathing in fumes. • Place in a safe, well-ventilated area away from ignition sources. • Contact your local STIHL Dealer or STIHL Customer Service Support to arrange disposal and a refund under the Consumer Guarantees Act. Do not travel with leaking fuel cans.
