Hazard descriptionThermos are recalling the Thermos Stainless King Food Jars because in certain circumstances, pressure may build up inside the container If pressure builds up inside the container it can cause the stopper beneath the lid to eject forcefully without warning when opened. This may occur if contents are left in the container for an extended period, contrary to the product’s intended use.
RemedyCheck if the underside of the stopper has a pressure relief feature (see picture provided). If not, you have an affected product and Thermos will provide a replacement stopper when contacted by you at no cost. Replacement stoppers are expected to be available within 4 to 6 weeks. When contacting Thermos, please provide your name, contact details, postal address, and a photograph of the underside of the stopper to verify the product is an affected product. You should not use the product until the replacement stopper has been installed.
