Hazard descriptionThe product presents a serious risk of injuries as the supplied crankshaft sensor, which checks if the rider is pedalling to allow the assist mode, and also the supplied brake levers, which cut off the power to the hub when operated, were not connected. The electric bicycle could be used as is in an electric motorcycle mode up to 34km/h, in excess of the maximum permissible speed for an electrically assisted pedal cycle. The unexpected and excessive speed could cause the rider to lose control and fall from the cycle.
