Hazard descriptionThe product presents a high risk of fire as it is insufficiently earthed. The plug has no fuse and therefore no protection under fault conditions such as a short circuit or an overload. The plug could therefore explode from the wall causing a fire._x000D_ Additionally, the plug did not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363 as Live and Neutral pins less were than 9.5mm from periphery of engagement surface. This may result in electric shock or fire when inserting or removing the plug from the socket. Some of the required documentation and markings were not present.
