Hazard descriptionThe product presents a high risk of fire as it has been identified that the battery may have damaged housing. The cracks or gaps in the battery housing may allow water ingress, leading to it short circuiting and causing a fire.

RemedyThe product has been recalled from end users. Canyon is stopping all sales of the affected products and: Sending a notification directly to consumers via contact details to stop-use of the product immediately and inspect the battery housing for potential damage. Provide for disposal of the battery through Canyon’s service network or else direct the consumer to dispose in compliance with local legal requirements.
