Hazard description3M have identified an aging effect that may impact the performance of self-retracting lifelines (SRLs) produced from January 2022 to October 2024._x000D_ In the event of a fall, these devices may not lock up as designed which could expose the worker to serious injury or, potentially, death._x000D_ Any devices repaired by 3M, or an authorised service centre during this timeframe, may also be affected. Affected sizes are all variants of the 85 ft (~26M), 130 ft (~40M) self-retracting lifelines.
RemedyRecall of the product from end users. 3M have issued a product stop use and action notification sent to distributors with instructions to forward to all applicable end users.
