Hazard descriptionThe manufacturer has identified that specific configurations of Vision Panels and / or Concealed Closers in certain door leaves may not be fully in accordance with the certified design or installation standards. This could mean that the inclusion of a vision panel or concealed closer results in a slight reduction in the fire door’s ability to contain fire and smoke, potentially compromising safety in the event of a fire. The issue may reduce the time for which the doors are certified for resisting fire.

RemedyThe manufacturer has issued a recall for certain fire doors installed in hospitals due to concerns about the installation of specific vision panel configurations and certification queries affecting certain concealed closers. The remainder of the door set is unaffected.
