Hazard descriptionThe product has been identified as presenting a risk of fire, as it is possible for the electrical cabling and/or switches to overheat and become damaged. The 3500W heating plate has a serial plate rating of 15 amps but has been supplied for use in the UK with a 13amp fused plug.
RemedyThe manufacturer has initiated a modification programme. Owners should stop using the product immediately and disconnect the heat press from the power supply. Contact Stahls UK (Europe) Ltd to arrange for them to replace the power switch and circuit breakers.
