Hazard descriptionThe product presents a high risk of injuries due to the green auto-tilt lever. This lever operates a hydraulic ram to raise and tilt the slide bed during deployment. When the Green Lever is released, the bed does not hold in the raised position and falls under its own weight back to the chassis. The tilt system is also not fitted with devices to prevent a gravity fall or uncontrolled movement in the event of hydraulic failure. RemedyRecall and withdrawal of the product. The manufacturer has voluntarily suspended further sale of recovery vehicles featuring the Green Lever auto-tilt function. The manufacturer has also voluntarily initiated a recall of recovery vehicles featuring the Green Lever auto-tilt function from end users. The auto-tilt function will be permanently disabled and hydraulic burst valves will be installed. The manufacturer has provided instruction to users on how to take immediate action to remove the Green Lever as an interim measure.
