Mammut Skywalker Pro and Skywalker Pro Turn Via Ferrata Sets was recalled in United Kingdom on 2025-11-11 due to injuries. Via ferrata sets with a shock absorber and two carabiners connected with elastic straps. The sets are marine blue in colour, and the carabiners have orange clasps. Hazard descriptionVia ferrata sets should absorb the impact of a fall while climbing whilst ensuring that the climber remains securely attached to the rope for the duration of the climbing activity. It has been identified that the plastic component of the locking mechanism on the carabiner may bend, especially when exposed to cooler temperatures. This could lead to the automatic locking function becoming impaired and potentially cause the climber to detach from the safety line and fall from a height.

RemedyThe product has been recalled from end users.  Consumers were initially contacted about this matter in April 2025, where consumers with specific carabiner batches were advised to return their products for a refund or replacement.
