Hazard descriptionThe product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the transformer is of inadequate build quality, and the soldering is poor quality. The plug face also does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363, and the fuse is considered counterfeit and inadequately earthed. This means that under fault conditions, the fuse may fail to prevent electric shock, fire and/or explosion. The product was also missing the required markings and documentation.
