Hazard descriptionThe product presents a serious risk of fire as the plug was fitted with a fuse link which does not conform to the requirements of BS 1362 and lacks any granular filler. The filler is required to ensure the safe operation of the fuse under fault conditions, and its absence could lead to the plug overheating and/or exploding. Additionally, the mains plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363 and may not make a secure connection with the socket. Improvements to documentation and markings are required.
