Hazard descriptionAn improperly routed alternator cable can become damaged and contact the negative battery post, resulting in an electrical short, posing a fire hazard and risk of serious injury.
RemedyConsumers should immediately stop using the recalled ROVs and go to https://www.polaris.com/en-us/recalls/off-road/polaris-recalls-some-model-year-2025-2026-ranger-xp-1000-and-crew-xp-1000-vehicles/ to determine if their vehicle falls under the scope of the recall. Polaris is providing instructions on how to continue operating their vehicles until the repair can be completed or to contact an authorized Polaris dealer to schedule a free repair at the dealer’s location.
