| Defect | Due to a software issue, the Integrated Electronic Brake (IEB) system may not operate as intended. Therefore, a higher braking force may be required when using the Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) key function resulting in increased braking distance. A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident resulting in injury to the vehicle occupants, pedestrians, and other road users. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles should immediately contact their preferred Kia dealer to schedule an appointment to have an IEB software update carried out, free of charge. |
