| Defect | Due to a manufacturing defect, the material of the reversing lamp gasket switch may swell. As a result, the brake lights and the reversing audible warning may not operate as intended. If the brake lights and the reversing audible warning do not operate as intended, other road users would be unable to identify if the vehicle is reversing. This could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest authorised Daimler Truck dealership to arrange for inspection and the works to be carried out if necessary, free of charge. |
