| Defect | Due to a manufacturing defect, brake fluid may leak into the Antilock Braking System (ABS) control module. This could cause an electrical short circuit leading to a vehicle engine compartment fire while parked or driving. A vehicle fire could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users, bystanders and/or damage to property. |
