DefectDue to a manufacturing defect, the left leaf spring bracket may have been insufficiently welded and could crack resulting in a loss of vehicle control. A loss of vehicle control will increase the risk of an accident which may cause injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.
RemedyOnce the remedy is available, Mazda will contact owners of affected vehicles asking them to schedule an appointment to have leaf spring bracket inspected and replaced, free of charge.
