| Defect | Due to a software issue, the Battery Monitoring Unit (BMU) in vehicles equipped with a high voltage battery may be defective. As a result, it could cause invalid cell voltage and incorrect temperatures leading to a sudden loss of motive power and/or engine stalling whilst driving. A sudden loss of motive power and/or engine stalling whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles should immediately contact their preferred authorised Peugeot dealership to schedule an appointment to have the work carried out, free of charge. |
