DefectDue to a manufacturing defect, the multi-purpose camera and/or the interior rear-view mirror on the windscreen may not have been bonded correctly and could detach. If this occurs, the advanced driver assistance systems may not operate as intended and the driver’s rear vision may be impaired. A loss of these systems or an impaired rear vision could increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death vehicle occupants, other road users and any persons located behind the vehicle.
RemedyOwners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership to have the work carried out as soon as possible, free of charge.
