| Defect | Due to a software issue with the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) the vehicle may enter fail-safe mode. This may result in incorrect operation of lighting systems such as front and rear lamps and licence plate illumination. Additionally, the engine start/stop function and wipers may not operate as intended. If functions such as engine start/stop, wipers and lighting systems do not operate as intended it could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants or other road users. |
