| Defect | Due to a manufacturing defect, the wiring harness connecting the trailer lighting may not have been assembled to specifications. As a result, the faulty connection may generate excessive heat, which could lead to a vehicle fire. A vehicle fire could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users, bystanders and/or damage to property. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by SITRAK and are asked to arrange with their nearest authorised SITRAK dealer to have their vehicle inspected and the work carried out, free of charge. |
