| Defect | Due to a manufacturing defect, the steering gear’s bearing bushing may become detached from the steering assembly. If this occurs, the vehicle may experience a sudden loss of steering control whilst driving. A sudden loss of steering control whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Daimler Truck asking them to book an appointment with their authorised dealer to have the rectification carried out, free of charge. |
