| Defect | Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel tank cap seal may crack. If this occurs, fuel may leak and in the presence of an external ignition source could result in a vehicle fire. A vehicle fire could increase the risk of serious injury or death to riders, other road users, bystanders and/or damage to property. |
| Remedy | Owners should immediately contact their authorised KTM dealer to make an appointment and have the recall performed, free of charge. KTM will contact owners of affected vehicles and request a dealer booking is made as priority. |
