DefectDue to a software issue, the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system may not re-activate when the vehicle exceeds 40 Km/h after the driver has manually switched off the ESC function. If this occurs, affected vehicles do not comply with Australian Design Rule (ADR) 35/07 - Commercial Vehicle Brake Systems. A loss of safety systems such as ESC under special scenarios could increase the risk of an accident and cause serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.
RemedyOwners of affected vehicles will be contacted by SITRAK and are asked to arrange with their nearest authorised SITRAK dealer to have their vehicle inspected and the work carried out, free of charge.
