| Defect | Due to a software issue, the cell modules installed in the high voltage battery may overheat at high charge levels. If this occurs, it could lead to cabin smoke or a vehicle fire._x000D_ Note: As an interim solution, software will be installed to keep the battery charge level below 90% until a permanent remedy is developed. Cabin smoke or a vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders, and/or damage to property. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles should contact their Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to schedule an appointment to have software installed by a JLR retailer / authorized repairer, free of charge._x000D_ Until the repair is completed, JLR asks consumers to limit the charging capacity to 90% charge and park the vehicle outdoors to maintain a sufficient distance from property and/or other vehicles. |
