| Defect | The brake line may chafe against the Body Control Module (BCM) which may lead to a hole in the brake line overtime. If this occurs it could lead to a brake fluid leak resulting in reduced rear braking performance. A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users. |
| Remedy | Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Harley-Davidson asking them to schedule an appointment to have a new BCM Caddy installed on their motorcycle, free of charge. |
