DefectDue to a manufacturing defect, resettable circuit breakers may not have been fitted to the affected vehicles. As a result, the turn signals and external lamps may not operate as intended, the defect may also increase the risk of electrical faults causing a vehicle fire. If lighting features do not operate as intended, the driver’s visibility may be reduced, and other road users may not be able to identify the vehicle in dark conditions. A vehicle fire could also increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users, bystanders, and/or cause property damage.
RemedyOwners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest SITRAK dealer to arrange having their vehicle inspected and the work carried out, free of charge.
