| Defect | Due to a manufacturing defect, the driver and/or front passenger seat belt pre-tensioners may not operate as intended resulting in increased seat belt slack and reduced occupant restraint performance. In the event of an accident, if the seat belt pre-tensioner does not operate as intended the occupant may not receive the full protection of the seatbelt system. This could increase the risk of injury or, in the case of a serious accident increase the risk of death to vehicle occupants. |
| Remedy | Once the necessary parts become available to address the issue, Audi Australia will contact customers and request that they schedule an appointment with their nearest authorised Audi dealer. |
