DefectDue to a supplier's production process error, the pyro-fuse housing may not be properly secured. While driving, the pyro-fuse housing could detach and damage other electrical wiring. In such cases, even if the pyro-fuse operates as intended, it could damage surrounding wiring in plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) and battery electric vehicles (BEV). This could prevent the high-voltage system from operating normally and lead to a loss of propulsion without prior warning, increasing the risk of accidents or injuries. This recall is initiated due to this confirmed risk.
ComponentOther Electrical Components
RemedyInspection of the pyro-fuse housing, replacement if necessary.
