DefectThe sealing of the high-voltage battery housing may be insufficient, which could allow water to enter the high-voltage battery through the housing. If the high-voltage battery is damaged, a check control message ("Continue driving possible, high-voltage system, please have it checked at the nearest service center to prevent subsequent damage") may be displayed, the high voltage may be cut off, causing the vehicle to stop, and if the battery short-circuits, a fire may occur. This recall is initiated due to these confirmed issues.
RemedyInspect the condition of the high-voltage battery and the sealing of the high-voltage battery housing, and if the sealing is not proper, replace the high-voltage battery related components.
