DefectDue to an error in the MBUX multimedia system software development process, the MBUX multimedia system and the parking assist control unit may not have been properly linked. In such cases, the parking assist control unit's functions could be permanently deactivated, potentially preventing the automatic braking function from activating at intersections and in parking lots. This could lead to an increased risk of collision if the driver relies solely on the assistance system. This recall addresses this potential issue.
