DefectRecall due to the possibility of a short circuit in specific battery cells within the module, caused by a defect during the manufacturing process of the drive battery supplier. In such cases, when the drive battery is fully charged using a charger while parked, there is a possibility of battery cell overheating and fire. (Do not charge the battery until the defect is remedied.)

RemedyAffected vehicles will be inspected using an analytical method to identify cell deviations within the drive battery module. If no evidence of potential issues is found, the vehicle will receive a battery monitoring software upgrade. If issues are found, in addition to the software upgrade, the affected module within the drive battery will be replaced free of charge.
