DefectDuring the engine crankcase manufacturing process, the cylinder surface machining quality did not meet standards, resulting in poor surface roughness. Deep oil pits can lead to increased oil consumption. If driving continues without recognizing the decrease in oil volume, a drop in oil pressure can cause the connecting rod bearings to seize and the connecting rod to break, posing a risk of the rear wheel locking up. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that discharged oil coming into contact with a high-temperature muffler could lead to a vehicle fire, hence this recall.

RemedyThe engine will be inspected at a dedicated service center. If any abnormalities are found, it will be replaced with an engine sub-assembly equipped with improved cylinders. Additionally, if there is damage to engine components, the entire engine assembly will be replaced.
