DefectSuzuki New Zealand Ltd is recalling a limited number of Suzuki Ignis and Swift models to inspect and secure the steering shaft nut. This is being carried out to avoid the possibility of the steering shaft nut loosening and causing an abnormal rattling sound. If the vehicle continues to be operated with a loose steering shaft nut, the steering wheel may become loose and in the worst case, steering wheel operation may not be possible.
RemedyRegistered owners will receive a letter requesting that you contact your nearest Suzuki Dealer to arrange a time to have the repair completed at no cost. Alternatively, please contact your nearest Suzuki Dealer to check if your vehicle is subject to this recall.
