DefectThe airbox baseplate (p/n 29000373) on certain model year 2024 – 2026 Softail, Touring, and Trike motorcycles built between 6 March 2023 – 26 February 2026 may have a blocked breather port due to a supplier manufacturing issue. _x000D_ A blocked breather port can result in pressure build-up in the crankcase. If the dipstick is removed while the crankcase is pressurized, oil may be discharged from the fill spout, creating a risk of injury.
RemedyOwners of affected motorcycles should contact their nearest Harley-Davidson dealer to schedule an appointment to have the airbox backplate breather port inspected on their motorcycle and, if necessary, the breather port will be corrected free of charge. This repair should take approximately 30 minutes. However, due to scheduling, the dealer may require your motorcycle for a longer period._x000D_ To find a local dealership, visit https://www.harley-davidson.com/au/en/tools/find-a-dealer.html.
