DefectIn the electrical wiring of the transmission, due to inappropriate wiring design, strong force is applied to the seal part of the connector wiring, causing some seal parts to deform. As a result, the sealing performance cannot be maintained, and rainwater etc. can infiltrate the connector, causing a short circuit, which may lead to battery drain while parked. In the worst case, heat generated by the short circuit could melt surrounding components and lead to a fire.
ComponentElectrical system (connector wiring)
RemedyFor all vehicles, replace the connector in the affected area with a longer wiring harness that eliminates the connector, and reroute the wiring.
