DefectIn the pre-fuse box located in the front passenger footwell, due to improper assembly during manufacturing, some nuts securing the power wiring may not have been tightened to the specified torque. As a result, the nuts may loosen due to vibrations during driving, cutting off power, causing the drive system to stop, and making it impossible to drive. Alternatively, the electrical resistance in that area may increase, generating heat, which could melt surrounding components, and in the worst case, lead to a fire.
ComponentElectrical system (pre-fuse box)
RemedyFor all vehicles, inspect the tightening torque of the nuts in the pre-fuse box. If looseness is found, inspect the contact surfaces of the wiring, and if there is damage or melting of surrounding parts, replace the relevant components with new ones.
