DefectIn the engine oil cooler hose, due to an improper manufacturing process, fine indentations and other irregularities may form on the inner wall of the hose, resulting in uneven thickness. When oil pressure (approximately 7.85 bar) generated during engine operation is applied to these thin areas of the hose's inner wall, the hose may rupture around these areas, leading to oil leakage and illumination of the warning light. In the worst case, the leaked oil may come into contact with hot engine parts, posing a risk of fire.
ComponentEngine oil cooler hose
RemedyFor all affected vehicles, replace the engine oil cooler inlet and outlet hoses with improved parts.
