DefectIn hybrid vehicles, due to an improper manufacturing process for high-pressure fuel pump components, metal powder from the manufacturing process may become lodged between the pump components and the processing jig. As a result, cracks may form on the end face of the processed part, and if use continues, vibrations during pump operation may cause the cracks to penetrate, potentially leading to fuel leakage.

RemedyFor all vehicles, measure the HC concentration near the high-pressure fuel pump. If the concentration exceeds the standard, replace it with a countermeasure part.
