DefectIn the engine, due to insufficient durability of the bolt that secures the drive gear to the crankshaft, excessive stress can concentrate on the threaded part of the bolt during rapid acceleration, leading to cracks. Consequently, if use is continued, the bolt may break, causing the pulse rotor, which detects crankshaft rotation, to detach. This can lead to improper ignition and fuel injection, resulting in engine stalling. In the worst case, fragments of the broken bolt may become lodged, potentially locking the engine.
ComponentEngine (Drive Gear Fixing Bolt)
RemedyFor all affected vehicles, replace the drive gear fixing bolt with an improved part. Please note that it will take time to prepare the parts. The details of the defect will be communicated, and contact will be made again once the parts are ready.
