DefectDue to improper design of the outer door handle on the entry/exit doors, moisture/water may penetrate the electronic circuit through gaps in the membrane filter. As a result, a short circuit may occur in the electronic circuit, outputting an incorrect signal to the door control unit, which may cause the door to open unintentionally when a strong lateral force is applied to the vehicle at speeds below 15 km/h.
ComponentDoors (Outer Door Handle)
RemedyFor all vehicles, replace the outer door handles of the front and rear doors with improved parts. Additionally, inspect the door control unit program and rewrite it with the countermeasure program if necessary.
