DefectDue to an improper assembly process for the lock nut securing the front shock absorber, the screw threads may be crushed when a load is concentrated. If use continues in this state, the upper part may detach from the vehicle body, and abnormal noise may occur during driving. In the worst case, the lock nut, rubber bush, and retainer may fall off, potentially obstructing other traffic.
ComponentSuspension system (shock absorber)
RemedyFor all affected vehicles, inspect the relevant part. If the protrusion amount from the stem exceeds 10mm, replace the front shock absorber (assembly) with a new, good part.
